2010 LA Tech Pro Day

D'Anthony Smith

Several Louisiana Tech seniors worked out in front of numerous NFL scouts on Wednesday.

All eyes were on D'Anthony Smith. The senior defensive lineman wanted to display the speed and strength that made him one of the best defensive linemen in the country.

Smith reportedly weighed in at 298 pounds. He had a 35.5 inch vertice jump and a he registered a 9 '4" long jump. Smith also had 28 reps at 225 pounds on the bench press.

The NFL scouts all clocked the players in the 40 yard dash themselves. Adrian Logan appeared to run well, as did Smith, Dennis Morris, Kwame Jordan, and Daniel Porter.

Morris reportedly weighed in at 250 after playing this season around 263. He registered a 28" verticle jump and had 20 reps at 225.

Deon Young had a 9'7" long jump. Daniel Porter had a 34" verticle jump. Adrien Logan had a 32" verticle. Logan showed great athleticism for a defensive lineman.

Former players Chris Keagle and Patrick Jackson also participated. Other seniors to work out were Ben Harris, Dustin Mitchell, and Antonio Baker. Baker, Harris, and Keagle did not participate in all of the events. Baker did not appear 100% after suffering an injury last season, while Keagle was there to show of his skills as a punter.
