"They said they need a quarterback that brings both dynamics to the field," explained Webster. "They need someone who can run and pass."
Webster passed for 2956 yards and 37 touchdowns with just 7 interceptions. Webster added 1350 yards and 26 touchdowns rushing. Needless to say, Webster can beat you with his arm and his legs.
The 5'10" senior was 24 of 27 for 357 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 48-10 win over Destrehan. Against Hahnville, Webster rushed for 303 yards and a touchdown.
Webster has offers from Tech, ULM, Northwestern State, and Southeastern Louisiana. He is also hearing from TCU, USM, and Memphis.
"I've visited Memphis, ULM, and Northwestern State," added Webster. "Tech has been down here and I'm set up to visit there on January 22nd."
Webster claims no favorites at this time. Louisiana Tech started using Daniel Porter and Phillip Livas as quarterbacks in certain formations this year. Webster would give the Bulldogs a player that specializes as a dual threat quarterback.
We will follow up with Gavin as we get closer to his visit.
