Several Tech Recruits in State Championships

Louisiana Tech is on some of the top recruits in Arkansas, Louisiana, and East Texas. A lot of those players are playing for state championships this week.
Louisiana Tech
commit
Taylor Burch
leads his Neville Tigers into the Louisiana Superdome to play for the Louisiana 4A State Championship. Neville is 12-1 and coming off of a 42-0 win over Lutcher.
In the Louisiana 5A Championship, West Monroe faces Archbishop Rummel. Both teams are 14-0. Louisiana Tech is looking at West Monroe guard
Dillon Day
and Rummel linebacker Phillip Helmstetter.
In the Louisiana Class 2A game, Evangel gets another shot at John Curtis. Louisiana Tech is recruiting Evangel receivers
Thomas Bridgewater
and
Eric Thomas
. Tech has offered a scholarship to Bridgewater.
South Plaquemines returns to the Class 1A Championship.
Seth Ancar
has a Louisiana Tech offer. The Hurricanes face the Haynesville Tornadoes. Haynesville defensive end
Justin Evans
is being recruited by Louisiana Tech.
The El Dorado Wildcats already wrapped up the Arkansas 6A State Title. Brothers Jimmy and
James Ford
recently attended a Louisiana Tech game. James should be one of the state's top rated running backs next season.
Junction City and Bearden played to the final second earlier this season with Bearden coming out on top. The rematch is set with both teams coming up with blowout victories in the Arkansdas 2A semifinals.
Alan Turner
and
Byran Jones
lead Junction City against Davidell Collins and Rickey Brown for Bearden. Both Jones and Collins have Louisiana Tech offers. Collins recently committed to Oklahoma State.
Tanner Smith
led Fort Worth Nolan Catholic over Trinity Christian 21-20 to finish 13-0 and capture their second consecutive TAPPS Division I championship. Smith was named the MVP of the title game. Louisiana Tech has offered Smith, a 6'4" 235 pound tight end.
