Louisiana Tech Head Coach Derek Dooley visited players in Lafayette and Ruston this week and it payed off in a big way.
WIth several commitments from players from Texas and New Orleans in hand,
Louisiana Tech
looked a little closer to home for their most recent pledges.
D.J. St. Julien
said two weeks ago that he was ready to commit to Louisiana Tech. He waited until Coach Dooley made an in home visit Wedneday night.
"The coaches at Tech are great," said St. Julien. "They said that they need speed and that's what I bring."
St. Julien said he is really interested in Louisiana Tech's architecture program. He will take the ACT soon in order to be qualified.
On Thursday night, Coach Dooley made it back to Ruston to visit local star

Arkansas State
, and Northwestern State," he said. "I have offers from
Houston
and
SMU
too."
Crowe said he wasn't sure if he would commit when Coach Dooley came. "I might," he said. "I really want to talk it over with my parents. I want to make my decision in the next couple of weeks."
On Friday, Crowe said he commited. "I felt a sense of comfort around the coaches," he explained. "I knew my family wanted to see me play. It's home."
St. Julien and Crowe bring the commitment total at Tech to 16. Crowe is fully qualified with a 19 on the ACT. Javontay said he should be at Tech this weekend for his visit. Several top recruits are expected in for official visits.
