As reported by the Shreveport Times, Louisiana Tech will be playing in the Independence Bowl on December 28th.

Louisiana Tech became bowl eligible Nov. 15th with a win over conference foe Utah State. Louisiana Tech's last bowl appearance was in 2001 when they won the WAC title.

The Independence Bowl has not decided on Tech's opponent, but has narrowed the field to one ACC team (North Carolina State), two CUSA teams (Southern Mississippi or Memphis), or Notre Dame.

Louisiana Tech fans need to purchase their tickets from the Tech Ticket Office. You can contact the Ticket Office by email at chance@latech.edu or call 318.257.3631, 318.257.3632 or 318.257.5329.

The WAC could potentially be sending 6 teams to bowl games. Those games being, The Humanitarian Bowl, The New Mexico Bowl, The Poinsettia Bowl, The Hawaii Bowl, and possibly a BCS bowl by the way of Boise State.
