Louisiana Select Fall Exposure Camp

The Louisiana Select Nike Travel Team had their fall workout and exposure camp this weekend on the campus of Louisiana Tech University.
Several players stood out from the 90 athletes that attended.
David Jackson
, Jr. Minden, LA 6'8" Sr.
David Jackson Jr. has nice touch on his shots and used a baby hook to drop shots over the defense. He is active on the glass, but he does need to get stronger.
Gary Payton
. Natchitoches Central 6'5" Sr.
Payton is a very athletic slasher. He is quick around the basket and has a good mid range jumper. He also got the ball out very fast to start the fast break.
Atorri Shine
. Minden, LA. 6'4" Soph.
Shine is a strong player, and he got up high for a block. Rebounds well. Has a very smooth game, operates well around the free throw area.
Thomas Williams
, Jr. Jonesboro-Hodge 6'6" Jr.
Very big, strong player. We saw Williams at the Ruston Showcase back in the spring when he held his on against taller recruits from Grassroots Canada. He has great footwork and shot over the top of
Kourtney Roberson
when they were matched up.
Sterling Bailey
. Cedar Creek 6'3" Jr.
Sterling has very long arms, and he is a good defender. Very aware, good basketball IQ. He is a great leaper. He gets high on his shot and on the boards.
Kourtney Roberson
. Arcadia, LA 6'9" Sr.
Roberson moves well with and without the ball. He knows how to get in position to make plays. Stays balanced when defending the post. Very quick for his size. He was by far the highest recruited player at the camp. Kourtney said he is solid to Texas A&M. The talk around the camp was that Roberson still has some work to do academically to qualify for the Big 12 school.
YonDarius Johnson
. Plain Dealing 6'3" JR.
One of the area’s top sophomores last year. Has a great shot from deep. A really good guard that does everything well. Johnson should develop into a Division One recruit.
Davion Spivey
. Ruston, LA 6'2" Sr.
Spivey might have been the best player there. If he was 6-5, he would be recruited by some of the major programs in the South. He has a quick first step and gets to the hole. He is a very strong guard and uses his body to get where he wants on the floor. He also uses his strength to stay in front of his man on defense. He plays smart and uses good vision to find teammates. He shoots well, passes well, and has solid basketball fundamentals.
Patrick Robinson
, Jr. Christian Life 6'5" Jr.
Robinson was tough on the glass and was a very strong defender. He never quits on a play and is a tough competitor. He showed good range on offense, but he can also take it strong to the rim.
Rydell Harris
. Richwood 6'5" Jr.
Harris teamed up with Robinson to really dominate the boards. Another hard worker, he also is able to take contact and finish at the rim. Richwood had some very good athletes at the camp.
McCall Tomeny
. University HS 6'4" Jr.
Smart player and really good passer. Knows how to outlet the ball and start the break. Has a good shot. A little undersized at the power forward position, but doesn’t have the quickness to play on the perimeter at the major college level.
John Isaac
. Pickering 6'4" Soph.
Sophomore guard has good size and has a natural ability to get in the lane and get to the basket. He has good size and a lot of potential.
