Chris Kersten had a double and a home run, driving in two runs, to lead the Bulldogs at the plate. Tech improves to 13-6 on the season and will begin the WAC portion of their schedule this weekend in Reno, Nevada. Mike LeBreton struck out four and did not walk a batter in three shutout innings of work.

Coach Wade Simoneaux made sure some of his young pitchers got a chance to play and he also let relievers Alex Richard and Aaron Lorio get some work in.

Tech hit the road after the game in order to get to Reno in plenty of time to prepare for Nevada. The Wolf Pack (8-8) are coming off of a 10-0 victory over Pacific on Tuesday. Senior infielder Jason Rodriguez leads his team with 5 home runs and 19 runs batted in. Rodriguez's batting average of .448 is second on the team only to fellow senior infielder David Ciarlo's .538.

Louisiana Tech will be lead by Adam Cobb, who leads the Bulldogs with 5 home runs and 21 runs scored. Chris Kersten and Albie Goulder have combined for 8 home runs and 39 runs batted in. Coach Simoneaux will use veterans Alan Knotts, Dylan Moseley, Jericho Jones, and Luke Burnett as starters this weekend.

Game times are 8:00 p.m. CST on Thursday and Friday with Saturday's double header starting at 3 p.m. CST. Listen to ESPN 97.7 FM to hear Dave Nitz call the game. You can also log on to www.espn977.com to hear the game streamed live over the internet.
