Trevell Dixon's recruitment kept fans on the edge of their seats until the moment he signed a letter of intent...

  • Trevell Dixon (West Saint Mary) went back-and-forth between Nebraska and Arizona State before ultimately inking with the Cornhuskers on National Signing Day. Dixon initially committed to Nebraska in January 2012 but withdrew that verbal after secondary coach Corey Raymond departed from Lincoln for the same position at LSU.

One year later Dixon re-committed to Nebraska, only to switch his commitment to Arizona State during the final hours leading up to last Wednesday (when he opted for Nebraska instead).

Houston was also in the mix for awhile although the Cougars faded to the background after Jontrey Tillman - Dixon's former teammate at West Saint Mary - transferred to McNeese State.

  • Warren Easton LB Edward Williams was a long-time Texas A&M commit until the Aggies reportedly asked him to take a greyshirt. The hard-hitter remains unsigned with offers arriving from Miami and Oklahoma over the past week. Williams may favor Texas Tech, according to sources close to his recruitment at Warren Easton. His mom apparently favors Tulane.

  • John Curtis Christian LB Kenny Young traveled to California with teammate Malachi Dupre for a visit with UCLA, which offered both juniors. Oklahoma State also offered the pair. Young picked up recent offers from Florida and Tennessee, as well.

  • Curtis junior defensive back Mattrell McGraw added offers from Arizona, Baylor and Houston. McGraw, who can play safety or corner, intercepted three passes for the national champs in 2012.

  • Four-star LSU tight end commit Jacory Washington (Westlake) grabbed new offers from Miami and Michigan. The 6-5 junior leads his high school hoops team into the Class 3A playoffs in a few days. He'll also attend LSU's junior day this weekend. Washington committed to the Tigers during their first junior day.

  • 2017 RB/LB Dylan Moses was invited to Alabama's junior day. Moses joins the University Lab varsity this fall where he'll possibly team up in the offensive backfield with 2015 RB Nicholas Brossette.

  • Jermaine Antoine (Loreauville) issued a soft verbal to North Texas prior to an official with TCU, which extended an offer to the versatile prospect. Antoine, who lined up at WR, DB, RB and KR as a prep star, subsequently committed to the Frogs.

  • O.P. Walker's defensive tandem of Lyn Clark (OLB) and Corey Smith (DE) are headed out of state. Clark signed with Louisville, Smith with Arizona State. Both were long-time Tulane commits.

  • The state's FCS programs collectively compiled an impressive list of signees. Last year, three-star prospect Daniel Taylor of Lutcher signed with Northwestern State. Southern got a three-star this year in Chuck Baker (Salmen).
