"Vanderbilt offered me today," said Dwayne Thomas. "I talked to two of their coaches and I'm excited about what they're doing up there. They want me to get up there for their spring game. I may put them in my top five."
There's rampant speculation that Thomas will commit to LSU this weekend at the Tigers' spring game.
"I'll have to wait and see," he replied, when asked to address the rumors. "I can't say yes or no right now. I'm going to see how it feels that day."
Thomas has been rigorously working out at the Sonic Boom Speed Conditioning & Strength Training Academy, located in Metairie.
"I can barely walk because my legs are so sore," he said. "There's a lot of elite athletes at Sonic Boom, such as Mark Ingram and Robert Meachem. It's cool seeing them over there, working hard."
Thomas' former teammate, five-star DT Anthony Johnson, signed with LSU on National Signing Day and is already enrolled at the school.
Thomas says that Oregon State could be the next program to offer.
