Malcolm Pichon, the No. 84-ranked defensive tackle in the country, committed to Louisiana Tech last night. Here's what Pichon's head coach and teammates had to say about him.
Salmen head coach Jerry Leonard: "Obviously, one thing that stands out about Malcolm is his size. For us, he was a very special player - one of the best I've been around. He demanded a double-team, but at the same time he was our second-leading tackler.
"He was very active and made a lot of plays for us, and his work ethic speaks volumes about the type of kid he is...he's a player who turns it on when it's game-time...some people didn't think he could make plays from tackle-to-tackle, but they were proven wrong.
"We'll miss him and I know that he'll do great things up there at Louisiana Tech."
Salmen senior cornerback Chrishawn Dupuy: "He's a helluva athlete who can and will cause problems in the middle. He's a big run-stopper with good lower-body strength and when he grabs you, he isn't going to let go. He has a tremendous wing-span and just needs to work on staying low."
Salmen senior defensive end and basketball standout T.J. Price: "Malcolm is a good player who will surprise a lot of people in college, because I expect him to play as a freshman. He'll probably come in and start as a freshman."
